Learn and Reflect! (Reflection 2)

This second quarter, I have learned so much, especially about HTML coding. I have gained a lot of knowledge, and it’s amazing to realize how powerful HTML is for creating websites. Before this, I had no idea about the process behind building web pages, but now I feel like I have a good understanding of it. We started by learning the basics of coding HTML websites, which helped us explore many features and tools that make HTML work. I was surprised at how many things HTML can do once you understand the structure and the tags. At first, it was hard for me to understand how HTML coding works. I couldn’t fully grasp the idea of how just typing tags like <html> </html> could create a webpage. It was confusing to me in the beginning. As time passed, I started to realize how things started to come together. We learned about the different types of tags and how each one has its specific function. I was amazed when I figured out how to use frames and how different tags create headers, paragraphs, and lists. Learning how these simple tags can make such a big difference in how a webpage looks and works was really exciting for me. I never imagined I would learn so quickly about how HTML links work. Before, I was just a normal internet user, searching for information or clicking on links, without knowing how they were created. Now, I’m the one creating the HTML links! I’ve learned so much in just a short time, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Throughout my journey in the second quarter, I faced many challenges. At the beginning, I was confused about how HTML worked. I couldn’t finish the first task by myself, and it felt frustrating. I wasn’t sure how to make everything work together. Sometimes, when I tried to use tags, they wouldn’t do what I expected. For example, some tags didn’t appear or function as I thought they would, which was really frustrating. But I didn’t let these problems stop me. I kept trying to fix my mistakes, and that helped me learn more. I also struggled with making sure that my code worked well on different browsers and devices. I realized that sometimes a webpage would look completely different on one device than on another, and I had to figure out how to fix it. It took time, but it taught me how important it is to test websites on multiple devices to ensure they look and function properly everywhere.

Despite these challenges, I never gave up on learning the basics of HTML. I know that understanding HTML is essential for my future, especially if I want to keep learning about web development. I also know that the more I practice, the better I will get at it. Even when things didn’t work out, I made sure to keep trying and figure out the best solutions. It was sometimes hard, but I kept in mind that learning these things now will make future lessons easier. The daily practice helped a lot, and over time, I became more comfortable with HTML. I didn’t expect it to be easy, but I’m glad I stuck with it.

Moving forward, I will continue to build on the lessons I’ve learned in the second quarter. I want to keep learning and diving deeper into HTML and web development. As we go through more topics, I will try my best to understand everything fully and apply what I’ve learned. This topic has taught me a lot, especially about HTML tags and coding. I now feel more confident about creating websites and understanding how they work. In the future, I hope to learn about more advanced topics, like CSS and JavaScript, that will help me make websites even better. HTML is just the beginning, and I’m excited to keep going. Now that the second quarter is almost over, I will always remember the lessons I’ve learned about HTML tags. I realize that these basics will help me as I continue to learn more advanced topics in web development. Even though it was challenging at first, I now see how important it is to understand these building blocks. HTML is like the foundation of any website, and now I feel like I have a strong base to build on. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned this quarter, and I’m looking forward to what’s next. Thank you, second quarter, for all the valuable lessons you’ve taught me! <love yah> </love yah!!>
